Jack and his box.

Nice one Marzipan. Congrats btw! really gotta hand it to you.. haha.
For those who hates writing compositions and essays, THINK AGAIN!! lol.

Adding on some thoughts and suggestions along the same line.

Sometime during freestyle practise sessions, we need to watch what we say to each other.
The choice of words are very vital, because it can completely change or destroy a person's idea or style.

Sometimes you get comments like, "You move too much, messy", "Not enough angles."
But I think it should be rephrased as, " your movements are not detailed enough."
"the angles you trying to show are there, but are not clear"

Because, you might just stop some guy from completely moving around, when he loves to move around a lot. Or maybe impossible for him to stop moving.
'Moving around a lot', COULD, be his advantage and style, instead of his downfall.
So instructors and friends, do think before you speak.
Are you looking at his style? or his technique?

From talking to a student, GuangJie, recently, our characteristics are dependent on our friends as well,
"hey, you talk too much, you should shut up sometimes..."
And your friend could pretty much shut up for good.
hahahaha.

So don't take assumptions and make people walk the wrong path. ;D

Some of you might ask about, how to get a good flow? That's about the same as, how do you speak well?
Speak clearly, aduibly, understandingly, etc.
Go fig.

Just a personal experience to share, in one's practise to become better. I will not be clear, being vague forces you to think about what I just said. And I hate to spoonfeed. :P
You have to overcome your weaknesses. Quoting on Wild Cherry once told us ,"If you know your weakness, that's good, you found places where you can improve on."
Techniques - are like vocab, you have to know what they mean and train them well.
When you dance, the moves flow with the music, if your Techs' not strong, you're going to stutter.

Your 'body' is made up of various parts. Train them.
Go fig.

Anyway, just a shout out to all the dancers at FTL08, keep dancing and trying. Hope to see everyone soon for the next battle. Good job everyone.
