Lime's Dance Competition + K.O. Night Semifinals

Hey everyone.

I'm here to drop some info on this competition (because I have the flyer with me right now):

"LIME'S FUNKMEISTER DANCE CHALLENGE '08"

Organised by Lime Magazine

There will be 2 categories:
Solo / Duo & Group

Prizes for Solo / Duo Cat:
1st: $1,000 cash
2nd: $500 cash
3rd: $300 cash

Prizes for Group Cat:
1st: $2,000 cash
2nd: $1,200 cash
3rd: $600 cash

Special Prizes:
"Most energetic dance group": $300 cash + $100 Cadbury goodie bag

Event Dates are:
Auditions: 8 & 9 August (O School)
Semi-finals: 16 & 17 August (Bugis Junction - Bugis Square, Level 1)
Finals: 23 August (Bugis Junction - Bugis Square, Level 1)

Closing date for registration is 6th August.
"This contest is open to all residing in Singapore, regardless of nationality, aged 16-28.

I'm reading the rules and some of the prominent ones are:
- "Type of dance: Hip-hop"
- "Each contestant is allowed to participate in only one category, i.e. either Solo & Duo or Group"
- "A minimum of 3 members and maximum of 6 members per team for Group"
- "Each act is required to showcase not more than 4 mins of dance performance to music of their choice without explicit contents"
- "The dance routine must not have won in any contests before."

And that wraps up my entry on Lime Magazine's dance competition.

On to the K.O. Night Semi-finals.
If you dont already know, the semi finals will be held on 16th August (Saturday), 7:00pm @ SMU Arts & Cultural Centre.

Entry is free but the seating capacity is only at 280, so first-come first-served.

(just a side note, if you're wondering, Lime's event on the 16th is held in the afternoon so there's time for you to make it for K.O. Night Semis, haha)
